I am very appreciative to those who are helping to cover bases for me while I’m away this week. It is a great comfort to know that you are in more than capable hands!
As I’m away on Sunday, Alan Parker will be leading the music for worship. It also happens to be a time change Sunday where we will lose an hour of sleep. Please make sure to set your clocks and to be in the choir room, RTS at 8:10. I’m sure that Alan will be glad to have this time with you before the early service begins.
The Celebrating Grace hymnal premiere was held on Sunday and Monday. It was a fantastic event and I continue to be very excited about this new worship book. The McAbees, the Schaibles, along with Loyd and Kathryn and our other members of the Mercer Children’s choir were in attendance. I’m sure that they’ll agree that it is a fine resource that will serve us well for many years. I hope you’ll share my excitement when our new books arrive!
Next week, Vineville is hosting a big senior adult meeting in our gym. Because of the way the schedule for the gym has evolved, tables and chairs to feed 400 need to be set on Monday evening after our basketball league playoff games conclude. I’ll be in the gym at 9pm on Monday (3/15) to set things up. If you are able and available, your help will be greatly appreciated.
