VBC Children's Programs!
ADVENTURES IN FAITH SUNDAY SCHOOL - Adventures in Faith is a rotational workshop model that engages each child's learning style. During each five week session, the children learn about a specific Bible story and verse in each of our interactive workshops. Currently, we have a computer room, kitchen/science room, art room, theatre room and music room. This innovative model makes learning exciting and memorable! Join us Sunday mornings at 9:35!
CHILDREN'S CHOIR - Sing to the Lord a new song! Music Makers (1st-3rd) and Young Musicians (4th-6th) make beautiful music as they participate in Hymnology, Maestro Computer activities, and small group choral lessons. This year our choirs will be preparing a Christmas Musical called "The Christmas Present" and will share what they have learned during Wednesday night church other times throughout the year. Children's Choirs meet on Wednesday nights from 5:30 - 6:20. Kickoff the 2009-2010 choir year with fun and games on August 12th!
KINGDOM KIDS - Missions and Bible Truths - that is what Wednesday nights are all about! We are using a new curriculum this year called 252 Basics. It is built around three Basic Truths every child should embrace according to what Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52. I need to make the wise choice. I can trust God no matter what. I should treat others the way I want to be treated. Skits, music, games, small group bible study, and hands on mission projects - fun and meaningful learning experiences every week! Every Wednesday Night 6:45 - 7:30 (Dinner and fellowship 6:20 - 6:45). MISSION FRIENDS - Mission Friends is the church missions organization of WMU for preschoolers, ages three through kindergarten. The primary objective of Mission Friends is to provide a strong foundation for preschoolers in a Christian and missions lifestyle. Mission Friends provides developmentally appropriate missions learning experiences through teachings of other parts of the world, both in and out of our country, through crafts, art, music, and games, to help preschoolers move from a self-centered focus to a focus on others, to become aware that not everyone knows about God’s love, and to understand ways they can help others know about this good news!
